Electronic Ignition System
With electronic igniter probe. The hood should be open so there aren’t any gas fumes built up during lighting operations. All burner knobs should be in the closed position. Choose the burner you wish to light. Push in burner knob rotate slowly about a 1/4 turn counter clockwise to “HIGH”. If the burner does not light immediately,return knob to off position. Allow 5 minutes for the gas to clear and repeat the lighting procedure. The ignition system is electronic and its that easy to operate.
Dual Stacks For Even Heating
The dual stacks are for even cooking temperature. This grill was adapted from a charcoal grill and that’s the reason for its unusual shape.
Stainless Steel Tube Burners

Stainless Steel Thermometers
I would check the temperature with a electronic internal cooking temp gauge which you can buy cheaply. I just don’t know if the built in thermometers are accurate or not. Most barbecue grills thermometers are sometimes 10 to 15 degrees off.

The char-griller grillin’ pro 3001 has a chrome plated warming rack. Also porcelain coated cast iron cooking grates. Also there are 3 burners in the body of the char-griller that has separate temperature controls for each burner. With electronic lighting its easy to get started grilling with lp gas. Also you can light burners with a match. There were 136 customer reviews. Some of the reviews on Amazon say they like the char-griller. Most who didn’t,had trouble with assembly of the grill. If you can use simple hand tools you can put one together.
This Char-Griller 3001 grilling pro grill with side burner is of average quality. Its not built as well as some of the higher priced gas grills. With proper care it should give you good service for a lot of years though. But it will rust just like a charcoal grill. Just remember its a low priced gas grill. It will need a lot more care than a more expensive gas grill made of stainless steel.
If you don’t want to spend very much money and keep the grill covered it will last a while. Char-Griller modified the body of their smallest charcoal grill. The charcoal grate is replaced and three gas burners have been added. I checked one out and really liked the construction. If i were buying a propane gas grill i would buy one. The body of the grill is painted steel. It has a warming burner with 12,000 btu’s on the side.All in all,what you pay for this grill is worth the money and should last for years with proper cleanup and maintenance. Just remember this grill is just like a charcoal grill and will rust if left out and unprotected.
